EPIC: The Musical is a musical written by Jorge Rivera-Herrans that follows the plot of Homer’s Odyssey. The musical was split into 8 sagas that released every few months, and said releases were accompanied by a livestream with visuals from animators selected by Jorge. This animation was worked on throughout the month of October 2024 and used as an audition to join the list of animators that would work on the final saga, and while that didn’t end up happening, I still look back fondly on the creation of this animation. The animation depicts Zeus and Athena following the events of the 6th saga. The designs are based on the official animatics; they are not mine.
Most of the animation was done on Clip Studio Paint, but some of the final effects were accomplished using Adobe After Effects.
